The Rainbow Street Renovation, brought to life by Caviar Construction and designed by Emily Wilson from The Style Curator, is a contemporary interpretation of the grand millennial style.
The transformation is remarkable, yet surprisingly, the footprint of the house remains unchanged. "The crazy thing is that we didn’t actually extend the footprint of the house at all; we simply made better use of the existing space by knocking out walls and raising the ceiling," Emily explains.
The primary bathroom features custom joinery by Studio xOx in a Laminex Spinifex 8539 Natural Finish, Brushed Carbon tapware by Faucet Strommen, a silver travertine benchtop, crazy pave flooring, and Ciello Cristallo tiles with Crema Serena in a checkerboard pattern from Amalfi Tiles.
Nood Co’s Mill Basins in Mushroom look like they are made for the space. These basins, with their organic shape and handcrafted look and feel, fit seamlessly into the design.
Tucked under the stairs, the powder room captivates with its deep blue painted walls and the elegant Carrara Antique Cut Mosaic by Amalfi Tiles climbing three-quarters up.
A Nood Co Bowl Cylinder with Tray in Sky Grey takes centre stage, complemented by an organic mirror and a natural stone sconce, creating a serene and sophisticated space.
The Kids’ Bathroom is a delightful blend of style and function. Featuring the OAK Vanity designed by Kate Lawrence Interiors from Studio xOx which is topped with a stunning Terossa Onyx benchtop and rattan drawer fronts.
Antique brass Pegasi tapware from Faucet Strommen complements the built-in bath with shower, surrounded by white subway tiles arranged in a herringbone pattern.
The space is further enhanced by a custom skirting tile detail with Rosso Verona and Calacatta Gold square tiles from Amalfi Tiles, Lycia stone flooring, and an organic natural stone sconce by CB2.
The finishing touch is provided by the Mill basins from Nood Co in Mushroom, adding a perfect blend of elegance and practicality.
The kitchen and European laundry, crafted by Urban Style Kitchen, are designed with both function and style in mind. A custom range hood with a unique textural finish stands as a focal point, while a robot vacuum cubby hole under the bench ensures the space stays tidy, especially with a golden retriever in the house.
The hidden appliance cupboard, complete with free-flowing sparkling water, is a delightful highlight. Brushed bronze tapware from Brodware and a matching bronze sink from Buildmat add a touch of elegance, and fluted marble kitchen lights from CB2 bring in vintage vibes.
The cleverly designed laundry, featuring beautiful wainscotting, hides life's mess while maintaining a soft, neutral palette.
Hallways and stairways are adorned with Murano glass sconces and artwork, set against soft pink walls with detailed paneling throughout the home.
The stairway, molded by hand by the builder from the designer's sketches, adds an elegant touch, seamlessly blending craftsmanship with the home’s refined aesthetic.
The kids' playroom is a delightful space with blush walls and detailed paneling, highlighted by a sardine painting created by Emily Wilson herself.
The Primary Bedroom showcases soft mint walls and elegant wainscoting, perfectly complemented by a fabric green bedhead.
Matching side tables with coordinating lamps and artwork enhance the cohesive design, creating a lush and inviting space that is both stylish and serene.
Every detail in the Rainbow Street Renovation has been thoughtfully considered, blending traditional elements with modern touches to create a beautiful, functional, and inviting home.
